Weekends should be 3/7 days of the week, agree of disagree?

I'm surprised many companies in U.S. are reporting positive experiences with 4 day workweek last few years. It was slower to be adopted here compared to Europe.

Absurd. These people would be free to find a purpose in their life, instead of having it imposed from external sources.

For most people, work is not a purpose but a necessity. Most people do not enjoy their job, and THAT makes them depressed.

I don't know if you're familiar with the idea to pursue a career that involves your passion. That was recommended to me by a few people. To this point, my career and passion have somewhat matched, and I often enjoy my work.
@morphyms1817 yes, I am doing exactly that too. But it would be very naive to think the majority of people are lucky enough to be in that situation.
Why should the weekend be longer than it already is?

The argument I have heard is that the same number of hours can be worked at higher efficiency in four days instead of five.
Maybe Bernie Sanders can pay my bills too.

Still not good enough. I want 8 days off a week.
Why does the week have to be 7 days? Why not an 8 day week, with a work/rest ratio of 5/3? We could call the extra day mental health day.
(Yes, once upon a time we used the phases of the moon as our calendar. Been a while since I've looked up at the night sky and said, "Why don't we go out for dinner the day after the quarter moon?")
