tablebases in correspondence chess

I spent a ridiculous amount of time analyzing this endgame (around move 36) from an ongoing correspondence game and eventually came across a couple of interesting Rook + h pawn + f pawn vs Rook positions. I know that using tablebases isn't allowed on lichess as such, but I am wondering whether this also aplies to positions that might come up in the future after a series of unforced lines. I feel like it should be allowed, as it doesn't tell you which move to make in the current position and it's good for improvement. How do others feel about this?

I haven't consulted the tablebases yet, in case you are wondering.
As long as the positions you evaluate are not based on the positions which could accur during your game it should be fine. For example, if your position could result in a knight + bishop endgame, it would be fine to practice knight + bishop endgames in general, but not from position based on your current game.
