Can someone explain CM to me again?

I should have been reading these posts. There is too much for me to read. In my last post I do not believe the topic was informative on the national or continental events. As such I cannot answer any questions about those. Can someone please present a brief summary on the current topic/last few posts?
Chessypiano wants to teach and wants to find the best way to get a title so that they can teach. I think that is what is happening?(correct me if im wrong).
CM is a FIDE title. FIDE titles are much more prestigious than USCF or other rating system's. FIDE MASTER (FM) is Master for fide. That's what I am. Below that is CM, so basically depending on the strength of the player CM is better than NM for the most part :)
Yup @LiamPutnam2008 CM is hard to achieve but even NM is equally hard to achieve it but CM is slighter harder to achieve than NM as CM is considered in Fide... but no hate to NMs they are also equally strong.
The thing with CM is that people used to be able to play a tournament like Pan American( which is people playing from all the Americas) and if they win even the under 8 section they would get the title. The highest player in the under 8 would be like a 1400 FIDE most of the time.

Honestly FM and CM were made for one reason and one reason only. For people who wanted a title and were willing to pay for it. FM I got as like a 1800 FIDE because I preformed well in u12 Pan American. You can even get the IM title if you win the u18.

I am not saying that there aren't any strong FM's because there are. Honestly FM I understand because people who couldn't get IM (which is extremely hard to get) could settle on FM but CM makes no sense whatsoever.
As long as a title officially exists, it makes sense, dear TackoFall!
It is all about taking what one can get. Please dont be so hard on CM.
There are countries with no chess culture where an FM can be rated 1800 but hey... they are still the best among the worst :)
Those Ux-winners are kids and they get awarded titles to get motivated and they are still the best among the youngest. :)
Cheers!
Funkmaus I am not talking about countries with no chess culture. I am talking about countries with a chess culture. And I won and I am nowhere near the best amongst the youngest!
Oh wait :)
I was not talking about you, I was talking about titles in general...
I just jumped on your last sentence where you said that CM-Title doesnt make sense - and I disagreed.
But now your #38 post is pure contradiction.
You won a tourney where the winner gets awarded the title - at that moment you have been the best among the youngest.
