Well of course, Hikaru is an online sensation and also a Rapid and Blitz maestro, so, is it because, he cares less about classic? Well, not many know yet (at least not me), so I am not sure. But, one thing is certain- His I don't care attitude really helps.

Well, I think Hikaru took that one really seriously. When Chess.com interviewed him in between the final rounds, he said,
Doesn't matter if I get selected for the candidates or not. I do not really care much about it now. I am quite chilled.
