Points for puzzles

I have just lost 71 points for failing to solve a puzzle.

Can someone explain the system for puzzles. It seems to be different from games.

Do I lose more points for failing to solve a difficult puzzle or an easy one?

Chris
No, it is the same rating system (Glicko2). However, there is is a hidden variable called the rating deviation. While you can view your rating deviations for the normal games, however Lichess doesn't show it for your Puzzle-Rating (and also doesn't show a puzzles own rating deviation). The higher your rating deviation is, the less sure the rating system is about your ratings accuracy, therefore awarding or removing more rating points, than for someone with a stable rating with low rating deviation.
Currently your puzzle rating shows a ? questionmark after the number, meaning that your puzzle rating is provisional with a rating deviation above 110. So that explains how you could loose so many rating points at once.
