Since there has been quite a lot of discussion about losing on time (which was fairly easy to answer with the rules of chess), i am also here to present quite a random and probably impossible position, but yet with the curiosity of how would Lichess handle this.
Imagine you're black in this position. Imagine you run out of time.
According to the laws of chess: The game is drawn when a position has arisen in which neither player can
checkmate the opponent’s king with any series of legal moves. The game is said to
end in a ‘dead position’. This immediately ends the game, provided that the move
producing the position was legal. (See Article 9.6)
You should technically draw? But I'm curious (if anyone has ever tried this), does Lichess considers this a loss or a draw?
