My Submission for the Vihh_Sou Opening #chessDrama

Given the latest meta in blitz 3+0 format, the infamous "Viih_Siu" opening getting all the hype recently, I decided to give it a try. This opening was used by GM Brandon against Danya and managed to beat him in a 70 game match. Here's my game with this opening.

P.S. I would love to see your attempt at this opening and how it turned out. Share your games!

I don't have a strong personal opinion on this. But given the moves and the accuracy in the games were far from perfect. And the fact that in many games, the evaluation was swinging wildly, I doubt that he cheated.
Seems more like a combination of surprise opening + study + danya not knowing best way to punish the opening + tilting
I also tried it once, and got blown off the board: lichess.org/OOEWnKH0/black#0
What's funny, the gambit was declined, but I lost the exchange later anyway :)
What's even more funny, Lichess shows 0 blunders, 0 mistakes from my part (which I doubt is accurate)
I guess I need to study the gambit thoroughly, including "Viih Siu declined" variations!

haha epic. honestly, people are just afraid to accept the gambit coz of the embarrassment it brings when you lose to it. Checkout games from Titled Tuesday, so many players tried the opening including Magnus
It was a verified GM account. Both chesscom and Lichess need a very strong level of evidence to ban it.
danya also said he didnt cheat.

Hmm and chess.com gives no report or reason for the van either. Seems weird to me

There is no straightforward connection between accuracy and cheating. The connection between accuracy and cheating is very complex and depends on many other factors. I have played many nearly perfect blitz games both online and OTB. Without cheating, of course. In some games it is not even a big achievement. (Say, when a theoretical line finishes in a dead-equal endgame or in a well-known repetition.)
On the other hand, many accounts banned for cheating were making a lot of mistakes, yet somehow performing surprisingly well. This says nothing about the concrete case of Viih_Sou (Brandon Jacobson), it just relativizes a common but inaccurate argument.

Wow thanks for your insights! Cheating detection is a really tricky topic and I don't really have any strong opinions on it.
Also, since you are here I wanted to say I really enjoyed your streams with GM harikrishna on twitch. And loved your guest appearances <3
