It says on the changelog this
Play vs AI now uses the Lichess opening database for more varied and natural openings on the respective level and time control. Watch out for bullet tricks!

How do you do this?

Click "Play" next to the giant "lichess.org" in the top left. Then, you should see an option on the right that says "PLAY WITH THE COMPUTER". Click that button to set up a game with Stockfish (aka the AI Lichess uses for analyzing)

Yes, right. Well, Play with the computer was not working for sense...
