Is there a way to distinguish a promoted pawn from a regular chess piece or do I have to remember what pieces are promoted?
I think you just have to remember it.
Ok, should be possible :)
Thank you!
Thank you!
why do you have to remember it. Does it go back to a pawn if you drag it back onto the board
Yes, when a promoted pawn is captured, it turns into a pawn again.
oh, that's a bummer
I think this was asked before (here: fr.lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/crazyhouse---problem-with-promoted-pieces#1) but without answer.
I think it would be important to distinguish the original queen from a promoted one. Indeed, although they move in the same way, capturing one of them has different consequences (a pawn or a queen among the dropping pieces is not the same thing) so they are not equal.
