Tomorrow first time tournament

Hi guys, tomorrow I will participate in my first tournament event .
The time control is 45 Minute I believe. and I would like some feedback on how I should prepare my first tourney? is only 3 round, nevertheless, I would love to come first place. what should I study to prepare for tomorrow? thank you! -Murasakibara
Good evening.

I give you some tips.

1. Calm down! It's just a tournament, you live is not bet.
2. Check what openings and defences you are comfortable with. For example, I like to play Zukertort's (Nf3) because it's a very flexible opening which I can tranpose to QDG, English...
3. Calculate! Kasparov used to say that the best player is this that can be nervous and does not lose opportunities!
4. Try to do some exercise -maybe the next tournament- and eating healthy: chess is a sport and you have to have resistance!
5. Don't play a lot bliz/bullet before a tournament, and, limit yourself to play slowly.
6. Find your way!
Hey Murasakibara, long time no see :P

I've been playing tournaments for a long time, and am also playing in a tournament tomorrow.

Dr-Zaitzev has some great suggestions, and I'd like to add that you should take notation using pencil+paper, even if it's not required by the tournament director (it usually is). This is a good way to slow yourself down and it can also help avoid discrepancies during/after the game.

Good luck and have fun!
(Seirin fight!)
This was an advice someone gave me before my first tournament:

Relax! It's just another chess game, play like you do..
It is good idea to write chess notation for your game. This way you can analyse your game later and improve for the next tournament.
