Make it easier to challenge people online around your rating?!

Hi all

I find myself often logging in and checking players online and sending a few challenges to the highest rated players online there.

I just wondered if a resource would be useful to all which goes like this:

"Challenge x people online around your rating" (where x might be 3 or 5 etc)

So it would try and work through those online around your rating, who are not in the middle of a game perhaps.

Feedback welcome
I'm not getting the sense of your request. When someone wants a challenge, shouldn't he just create a game? Why should you push someone to play if your game is already in the game list?
KC means challenging the top players online on the Players page instead of putting out a seek on the main page. It's likelier to get their attention than those not actively looking for a game on the main page, especially if you're looking for players with a higher rating.
Personally, I play chess at lower level knowing that there are more players of similar strength. Genius Idea.

Watched some of your Vids on youtube Crusher, keep up the good work :)
Manually joining games is sometimes tricky, several times I joined wrong game because the list got redrawn. I'd like to just say that I want play 4+4 and just starting playing something close to that time. Without selecting open games by myself.

Most people just `Create a game.` The system automatically pairs your with other people that have mutually inclusive settings. Having the games list isn't actually necessary for players to be paired.
I'd also like the possibility to send out several challenges. E.g. one 1-minute challenge, one 3-minute challenge and one 1-minute three-checks challenge at the same time. This is a possibility on ICC, and I use it all the time. Usually I just send out challenges in 5 different time controls at a time, and I get the game that get accepted first.
There's actually a couple of ideas related to this being kicked around. I don't think we'll allow you to shotgun challenges like that, but we'll put all the online and available players in a list on the homepage where challenging them is just a button press away.
