I dont understand the analysis of one move

I've just finished one party against StockFish and when I've asked the computer analysis, it gives me a continuation I can't understand.

Could someone explain me why analysis proposes that?

After Ref1, analysis says is one inaccuracy (ok, I can agree with that) however, in the continuation, he proposes 20. Be2 Nxc5?

Why Nxc5? What is wrong with Nc7? Why analysis propose that sacrifice? Ok, you win 2 pawns, but it really worth to sacrifice the knight now?
I suppose it is worth sacrificing the knight to get rid of a passed pawn that can become very threatening later. The exchange wasn't that bad for black since it was for two pawns, not just one. It also improved the position of the black bishop.
White's main advantage in this position is his queenside pawns, including the passed c-pawn. If Black sits doing nothing, White will eventually promote after trading pieces. Since the computer is capable of fully understanding the gravity of the situation, it suggests sacrificing the knight in order to eliminate that threat.
Looked at Nc7 with an engine. It didn't suggest Nxc5 but Nb8. Later however it ended up only getting one pawn for the knight. Maybe this is why it suggested Nxc5
